I am an emerging artist based in Naarm/Melbourne who creates textile and mixed media sculptures and installations. Drawing from a personal and ancestral archive, my work explores memory, nostalgia and ritual. In my recent work, I am trying to create new ways of remembering and honouring histories, of understanding the past, and mourning futures that will not transpire.
My sculptural forms are intricate and idiosyncratic, often using carefully considered ephemeral objects that have been assigned meaning and symbolism in a personal universe. The processes of making my art is a tactile and craft based practice, that is also a form of meditation and contemplation that breathes back into the work.
